# Battery Terms & Conditions

By purchasing batteries, battery cells, battery packs, or related components from Chase Innovations, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

### 1. Battery Safety

Batteries and cells can present risks including fire, burns, electrical shock, property damage, and personal injury if improperly handled, installed, charged, discharged, stored, transported, modified, or assembled.

The customer is responsible for using all products safely and according to their specifications.

### 2. Individual Cells & DIY Use

Individual battery cells and battery-building components are intended for customers who understand proper battery assembly and safety practices.

When applicable, customers are responsible for using appropriate protection equipment, including a properly configured Battery Management System (BMS), fusing, wiring, insulation, and a charger designed for the battery chemistry and configuration being used.

Cells must not be short-circuited, punctured, crushed, overheated, overcharged, over-discharged, installed with reversed polarity, or operated beyond their published ratings.

### 3. Used & Reclaimed Cells

Products identified as used, reclaimed, or previously used may show cosmetic wear and may vary in capacity, internal resistance, age, and performance.

Where Chase Innovations advertises a minimum tested capacity or other condition guarantee, the product will be covered according to the warranty stated on the applicable product listing.

### 4. Proper Application

Customers are responsible for determining whether a product is appropriate for their intended application.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, Chase Innovations products are not designed or certified for medical, aviation, life-support, emergency safety, or other applications where battery failure could reasonably result in serious injury or loss of life.

### 5. Modification & Assembly

Chase Innovations is not responsible for damage or failure resulting from improper installation, incorrect wiring, improper pack construction, incompatible components, improper charging, modification, abuse, neglect, physical damage, short circuits, or operation outside the product's published specifications.

### 6. Warranty

Any warranty provided by Chase Innovations applies only as described on the applicable product listing or warranty documentation.

Warranty coverage applies only to the battery, battery pack, cell, or component purchased from Chase Innovations. Warranty coverage does not extend to any external equipment, devices, vehicles, chargers, inverters, controllers, wiring, electronics, appliances, tools, or other property connected to, powered by, charged by, or otherwise used with the battery or battery pack.

If a covered battery pack is determined to be defective within its applicable warranty period, Chase Innovations' warranty obligation is limited to the remedies stated in the applicable warranty, such as repair or replacement of the covered battery pack or its components.

Warranty coverage does not apply to damage caused by misuse, improper installation or assembly, modification, incorrect charging, short circuits, physical damage, water damage, excessive temperatures, incompatible equipment, or operation outside published specifications.

### 7. External Equipment & Limitation of Liability

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all equipment connected to a Chase Innovations battery or battery pack is electrically compatible and appropriately protected.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chase Innovations will not be responsible for damage to equipment or property external to the battery or battery pack resulting from improper installation, incompatible equipment, incorrect wiring, misuse, modification, improper charging, storage, handling, or operation outside published specifications.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Chase Innovations will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use or failure of its products.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

### 8. Customer Acknowledgment

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge that:

- You understand that batteries and individual battery cells can be hazardous if improperly used.

- You are responsible for selecting products appropriate for your application.

- You are responsible for ensuring compatibility between the battery and any equipment connected to it.

- Any applicable product warranty covers only the Chase Innovations product itself and does not provide warranty coverage for external equipment or property.

- You will follow appropriate battery safety practices and applicable product specifications.

- You have read and agree to these Battery Terms & Conditions.
